Where families share the pleasures of winter

ROSEMÈRE, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 Rosemère mayor Eric Westram is pleased to invite citizens to this latest edition of the Town’s winter carnival, which will unfold from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Charbonneau Park. Every year, this traditional winter event attracts countless families from the region who are eager to share the pleasures of winter in a festive ambience.

Once again, the Town of Rosemère has come up with a varied program of activities. In addition to the sleigh ride and famous maple taffy on snow, citizens will have an opportunity to try snowskating, new on the program this year, while younger residents can enjoy the trampoline and inflatable structures. Obviously, traditional carnival activities such as sliding, skating and street hockey will be on the menu as well. Finally, citizens will get moving and staying warm with Cardio Plein Air warm-ups, an organization in the region that promotes fitness and well-being. Affordably priced refreshments will also be available from the 49th Lorraine-Rosemère Scout Troop, which will be on site throughout the day.

“The winter carnival is the ultimate event to combine physical activity and family pleasure. Regardless of the weather, citizens don their snowsuits and turn out for this festive happening. This year again, I hope many of you will be joining us for this annual winter get-together. Guaranteed fun!” he concluded.

It should be noted, in fact, that this event is only cancelled in the event of heavy rain. If in doubt, check the Recreation Department’s phone message at 450 621-3500, ext. 7380 or go to the Town’s website and Facebook page.
