Swearing-in of RoseAnna Cirino: New Councillor Joins Town Council

RoseAnna Cirino, elected by acclamation to the position of Town Councillor, Seat 5, was sworn in on May 16 during a ceremony attended by her family, friends and several dignitaries in the atrium of the municipal library. During this ceremony, she took the oath and signed the official documents. As it may be recalled, by-elections were held following the announcement of the departure of Councillor Melissa Monk last February.

"We are very enthusiastic about welcoming Mrs. Cirino to our team. I am confident that her presence will bring a breath of fresh air and that her ideas will lead to new thinking. Once again, I am proud to say that the majority of our Council members are female. We will continue to listen to our residents and make decisions that represent our needs and issues here in Rosemère," stated Mayor Eric Westram.

The first public meeting with the new Council will be held on June 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall.
