Vote for your favorite concept!

To revitalize and embellish the skatepark located at Place des jeunes, a work of street art will be unveiled this summer.

Two concepts are in the running, and we'd like to hear what young people have to say. Do your kids or teens frequent the skatepark? We want to know their favorite concept!

There are two ways to vote between now and June 2:

-In person on Saturday, May 25, at the skatepark located at 418 Grande-Côte Road, between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monitors will be on hand to collect votes with a tablet.

-Online via this link.

-Via the Town's social networks (Instagram and Facebook).

Proposal 1 

Artists: Tyxna

Concept details

“In this sketch, we wanted to evoke the relationship between the temerity of sport and the ardor of the tiger. In a colorful, graphic design, this composition evolves around the central, circular module. The dynamic look and cartoon-like treatment will appeal to skatepark users. The urban-style calligraphy in the background aims to harmonize with the park's surrounding greenery.”

Proposal 2

Artists: Funky Art Cartel

Concept details

“Skateparks are gathering places where movement is at the heart of the place. Here, we propose enveloping, colorful and vegetal forms to give this concrete hearth a living aspect so that it harmonizes smoothly with its environment and its purpose. Here we played with shapes in movement, sinuous, symbiotic, reflecting the natural cadence of the occupants.”

The chosen concept will be unveiled in early June. Vote in large numbers!

This street art initiative at the skatepark is part of a cultural development agreement between the Town of Rosemère and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications.
