Spring Break in Rosemère

ROSEMÈRE, Friday, February 9, 2018 – From March 5 to 9, the Town of Rosemère is offering Rosemère youngsters and their families a varied program of activities. Whether it’s indoors or out, Rosemerites will have the opportunity of enjoying a number of activities during this year’s spring break.

Freestyle skating and hockey
During the course of that week, Rosemère residents will have the opportunity of skating free of charge at the Rosemère Arena (with citizen card) located at 155 Charbonneau Street, from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Monday to Thursday, citizens will also enjoy the possibility of playing hockey at the Arena from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Note that a helmet, neck guard and gloves are required. The activity is exclusively reserved to Rosemère citizens.

Hockey Canada camp
On March 9, a full one-day camp will be offered by Hockey Canada at the Rosemère Arena to boys and girls in the novice, atom and peewee divisions who wish to develop their skating, passing, stick handling and shooting skills. Registration for the camp is required and must be made right on the https://event.hockeycanada.ca/ site. Select Hockey Canada, Regional Centre – Québec, then the Rosemère event. Freestyle skating at the Sainte-Thérèse Arena
Following an agreement concluded with the Town of Sainte-Thérèse, Rosemère residents can skate free of charge at the arena located at 50 Saint-Louis Street in Sainte-Thérèse. Proof of residency is required. The freestyle skating schedule at this arena is 3 to 4:30 p.m., March 5 to 9.

Activities at the Library
On Saturday, March 3, youngsters 8 years of age and over are invited to play board games from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Following this activity, games will also be available from the loans counter for playing on the premises. Presentation of a library card will be required.

Tuesday, March 6, youngsters 7 years of age and over can enjoy a movie and popcorn at 1:30 p.m. This activity will last approximately 2 hours.

Thursday, March 8, a family Lego event will be held at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. for kids between the ages of 6 and 12 and their parents. This activity lasts a total of 60 minutes.

Finally, an activity for children ages 3 and up and their parents will be presented by Educazoo on Saturday, March 10, at 1:30 and 3 p.m. (duration: 60 minutes). Come discover and handle a variety of domestic and exotic animals.

All of these activities take place at the library located at 339 Grande-Côte. Participants must register as of February 13 by calling 450 621-3500 ext. 7221 or going to biblio@ville.rosemere.qc.ca.
