Spring Break: a varied program for young Rosemerites

ROSEMÈRE, Wednesday, February 8, 2017– From February 27 to March 3, the Town of Rosemère will be offering a number of indoor and outdoor family activities during students’ spring break.   
 
Free skating and hockey
During the week of February 27, Rosemère residents can skate free of charge at the Rosemère arena, located at 155 Charbonneau Street, from Monday to Wednesday, 1 to 3 p.m.; Thursday, 4 to 5 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Saturday, 7 to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 1 p.m.  
 
Residents will also have the opportunity to play hockey at the arena according to the following schedule:  Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 11 a.m.   
 
Outdoor skating rinks and slide at Charbonneau Park
Throughout the week, the outdoor skating rinks and slide at Charbonneau Park will be open, weather permitting, with expanded supervision of the skating rinks from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the slide.   
 
Free skating at the Sainte-Thérèse arena
Further to an agreement concluded with the Town of Sainte-Thérèse, Rosemère residents will also be able to skate, free of charge, at the arena located at 50 Saint-Louis Street in Sainte-Thérèse, upon presentation of proof of residency. The free skating schedule at this arena is 3 to 4:30 p.m., February 27 to March 5.   
 
Winter ecology day camp
In partnership with the Town of Rosemère, the "Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles” is offering a winter day camp on ecology to youngsters 6 to 14 years of age who are on spring break from March 6 to 10. On the menu: introduction to ice fishing, sliding, hikes and much more. For information or registration, call 450 622-1020, ext. 227. 
 
Activities at the library
Tuesday, March 2 at 2 p.m., youngsters between the ages of 7 and 13 are invited to discover characters from the Smikee comic strip. On the menu: meeting with the authors of this popular comic strip, the creation of giant drawings and participation in a quiz game.  
 
Saturday, March 4, from 1 to 4 p.m., a video game tournament hosted by JEUXJUBES. Youngsters from 8 to 14 years of age are invited to rediscover such classics as Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and more!
