Secret Gardens Tour 2019 – 20th edition - Magnificent Private Gardens to Visit All Weekend Long!

ROSEMÈRE, July 8, 2019 – The Secret Gardens Tour is celebrating its 20th anniversary in high style: This event will be held not just for one day, but for a full weekend this year, on July 13 and 14! For the occasion, the Town of Rosemère is inviting all horticulture lovers to visit a number of private gardens, many of which have never been open before to the general public. To mark this 20th edition, well-renowned horticulturist Larry Hodgson will serve as Patron of this event.

"We are proud to celebrate this 20th edition of the Secret Gardens Tour! This is an annual event that has been well-rooted in Rosemère's DNA for quite a long time now! I would particularly like to thank Mr. Hodgson for his participation as Patron as well as all the horticultural enthusiasts who will be opening their gardens to those who love flowers and greenery!" mentioned Rosemere Mayor Eric Westram.

This tour will take place rain or shine on July 13 and 14, 2019, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The commuter train station will be the starting point of the tour, 9:30 a.m. - noon. From there and then on, participants will be able to visit the gardens at their own pace until late afternoon. Visitors who want to take advantage of this opportunity to get in a little exercise at the same time may ride along the tour route by bike.

At lunchtime, they are invited to bring their picnic to Hamilton House, to join the musicians and painters that will be there as well for this occasion.

Tickets will be available at the following locations:

· Municipal library, 339 Grande-Côte Road

· Town Hall, 100 Charbonneau Street

· The commuter train station, July 13 and 14 only, 287 Grande-Côte Road, 9 a.m. - noon

Tickets cost $15 per day or $20 for both days.

All proceeds will be donated to the Les Petits Plaisirs respite organization. This group, which has been active in the region for a number of years, provides families with a disabled child access to various services that are essential to their quality of life. This tour will therefore not only amaze flower and greenery lovers with all its splendour, but it is also dedicated to a humanitarian cause that is highly appreciated by our Town.
