Repair work on Highway 640 overpasses at exit 24
The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable wishes to inform the public that repair work will be carried out on the Highway 640 overpasses above Bas-de-Sainte-Thérèse Road and Rivière aux Chiens, in Blainville and Rosemère. Work will start on August 5, 2024 and continue until mid-November 2024. There will be a winter break, and work will continue in 2025 and 2026.
Obstructions and traffic management
Depending on the phasing of the work, the following traffic obstructions will be necessary:
- Overnight closure of Highway 640, one direction at a time, with contraflow traffic on the opposite carriageway.
- Overnight closure of Highway 640 entrance and exit ramps at exit 24 Montée Lesage/Bas-de-Sainte-Thérèse Road.
- Occasional night-time lane closures on Bas-de-Sainte-Thérèse Road, between Langloiserie and Hector-Maisonneuve Streets, with alternating traffic.
- Speed limit reduced to 80 km/h in Highway 640 construction zone.
- Speed limit reduced to 30 km/h on Bas-de-Sainte-Thérèse Road.
The multipurpose track on Bas-de-Sainte-Thérèse Road will remain open for the duration of the work. It may, however, be relocated.
The necessary road obstructions to complete this worksite could lead to major traffic congestion in the area.
For the safety of road users and workers, please respect the signalization in place.
