The Town invests in the assignment of a liaison officer to the Rosemère business community

ROSEMÈRE, January 10, 2017 – The Town of Rosemère and the Rosemère Business Association (AGAR) wing of the Thérèse-De Blainville Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCITB) are proud to announce the creation of the position of liaison officer. Assigned entirely to the Rosemère business community, this individual will be mandated to improve communications with local companies and work with them. This good news was announced by mayor Madeleine Leduc at the AGAR’s networking luncheon during which the Town of Rosemère’s 2017 budget was presented.

"The Town is particularly delighted with this partnership. Our commercial sector contributes significantly to Rosemère’s growth and we believe that this measure will better support members of our business community in their development. The announcement of this pilot project is all the more interesting since it is a first in our region,” stated Madeleine Leduc, mayor or Rosemère.

The liaison officer, who will report to the CCITB, will be mandated to communicate with Rosemère companies, keep them informed of Town projects, and follow up with municipal representatives on any questions or comments they may have. This measure has been made possible thanks to the financial collaboration of the Town, which will ensure ongoing relations and dialogue with the various stakeholders.

"We are convinced that this measure will greatly help entrepreneurs who do no always know where to turn for answers to their questions. We believe that consulting merchants will give rise to constructive comments that will contribute to the prosperity of the Town of Rosemère as well as its companies,” noted AGAR president Gina Bergeron-Fafard.

The AGAR has made it its mission to foster the development of companies in the Town of Rosemère while raising their profile in the community. The Town of Rosemère contributes to the success of the AGAR’s plan of action and is involved in the promotion and visibility of its companies. It should be noted that a second edition of the map of Rosemère companies will be distributed to all Rosemère households next April, and the annual discovery campaign will be carried out in May by participating businesses.
