Madeleine Leduc elected to the Municipalities of the Metropolis Caucus

Rosemère, Thursday, March 9, 2017 – Madeleine Leduc, mayor of the Town of Rosemère, has been elected as the 2017-2019 North Shore representative to the UMQ’s (Union of Québec Municipalities) Caucus of the Municipalities of the Metropolis. The objective of the caucus is to initiate, develop and put forth political issues specific to its region, and present them to the UMQ’s board.

"I am most grateful to all those who supported me in this election. I am proud of taking on these new functions. In fact, I am quite eager to start my mandate on April 1st. It will be an honour for me to bring to the voice of Rosemerites and all of our region’s citizens to the UMQ’s executive, while increasing the outreach of our town and region throughout Québec," stated Madeleine Leduc.

It should be noted that the UMQ recently held elections for representatives to various caucuses.
