The Town of Rosemère will have its pubic charging stations for electric vehicles

The founding members of the Circuit électrique – Rôtisseries St-Hubert, RONA, METRO, the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT – Metropolitan Transportation Agency) and Hydro-Québec – are pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the Town of Rosemère, calling for the installation of two public EV charging stations by the summer of 2014. These will be located in the parking lots of the Town Hall at 100 Charbonneau Street and the Municipal Library at 339 Grande-Côte.

"True to its reputation for environmental awareness, the Town is proud to contribute in this way to the promotion of alternate solutions to conventional means of transportation,” explained mayor Madeleine Leduc, who went on to state that this measure is perfectly consistent with the municipal administration’s desire to do more to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Speaking on behalf of Circuit électrique’s partners, Pierre-Luc Desgagné, vice-president – Public and Government Affairs with Hydro-Québec, noted: "We are delighted that this measure has been adopted by Rosemère, a dynamic town located close to major road networks such as autoroutes 15 and 640. Not only is this initiative good news for its citizens, but it will meet the charging needs of drivers of electric vehicles travelling in the region.”

The Circuit électrique
Circuit électrique is the largest public charging network in Québec. It currently consists of more than 250 240-volt EV charging stations and one 400-volt rapid-charge station, which are located the parking lots of the AMT as well as a number of RONA stores, Metro supermarkets, and St-Hubert restaurants throughout Québec. Since it was first established in March 2012, private and institutional partners have joined the Circuit électrique. Its expansion continues, in order to provide wider geographic coverage and serve a larger number of electric vehicle drivers in several regions of Québec.

Users of the Circuit électrique benefit from 24/7 telephone assistance provided by CAA-Québec as well as a station locating service. The Circuit électrique’s website, lecircuitelectrique.com, is updated as new charging stations are installed or put into service.
