The “Guignolée” in Rosemère — A small gesture making a real difference

ROSEMÈRE, Wednesday, November 23, 2016 – As it does every year, the Town of Rosemère is inviting its citizens to be generous by donating either cash or non-perishable food staples to the "Guignolée”, the Holiday food drive to be held from 9:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., Saturday, December 3.

Organized by the "Club Jeunesse Action Rosemère”, schools, scout troops and the "Club Option jeunesse”, this event involves some 200 volunteers who will be knocking on Rosemère doors to collect donations of food staples. Residents who will not be home can leave their donation in a bag in front of their house, for pick-up by volunteers. Staples can also be dropped off at the Town Hall or Municipal Library during business hours.

This major sharing event will enable "Entraide Rosemère” to prepare Christmas baskets for distribution to some of the region’s underprivileged families. "I urge all Rosemerites to contribute to this vast movement of generosity known as the "Guignolée”. Your small gesture can make a real difference,” stated Rosemère mayor Madeleine Leduc.
