A New Councillor Joins Town Council

Marie-Andrée Bonneau, elected to the position of Town Councillor, Seat 2, following by-elections on April 21, was sworn in on April 29 in the Council room at Town Hall. During the ceremony, she took the oath and signed the official documents. As it may be recalled, by-elections were held following the announcement of Councillor Carla Brown's departure last January.

A Rosemère resident since 2011, Marie-Andrée Bonneau is the head of her family and involved in her community. With a Master's degree in Public Administration, she is currently employed by Collège Lionel-Groulx as an Administrator. Mrs. Bonneau served as a Rosemère Town Councillor from 2013 to 2017 and her election marks her return to municipal politics. Her desire is to play an active role in the key decisions that will shape the future of her town: "I want to work with all the members of Town Council in a spirit of collaboration".

Mayor Eric Westram welcomed the new Councillor: "I would like to welcome Marie-Andrée Bonneau to Town Council and offer her my full cooperation in her new role".

The first public meeting with the new Council will take place at Town Hall on May 13 at 7:30 p.m.
