Rosemère Winter Carnival: Fun for the whole family!

The entire population is invited to take part in the 7th edition of the Rosemère Winter Carnival, slated for Sunday, February 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Charbonneau Park.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for the family to enjoy free activities in the great outdoors. These include dog sledding, inflatable games, climbing walls, sleigh rides, an obstacle course and, new this year, poolball,” proudly announced Mayor Madeleine Leduc. Among the other activities on the program for this festive occasion, we note story time with traditional music. Don’t forget to bring your skates and sleighs to make the most of the slide and skating rink!

Under the banner of health, an outdoor Cardio booth will also be on site. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., its representatives will lead warm-ups to music. This fine initiative will allow citizens to remain active throughout the day.

As in previous years, food and hot chocolate will be offered at affordable prices by the 49th Lorraine-Rosemère Scout Troop. You’ll also have the opportunity of tasting maple taffy on snow free of charge!

It should be noted that the Carnival will be held regardless of the weather, except in the event of pouring rain. If in doubt, citizens can listen to the Recreation Department’s recorded message by calling 450 621-3500, ext.7380.
