Take part in the 28th edition of the Rosemère en santé footrace

As of 9 a.m., Sunday, June 8, all runners are invited to take part in the 28th edition of Rosemère en santé. The point of departure: Alpha School, 334 De l’Académie Street, corner of Hector.

Every year since 1986, Rosemère en santé has held 1, 3, 5 and 10 km footraces through the streets of Rosemère. This event is, first and foremost, a family activity designed to promote the benefits of physical activity in a convivial ambience. It also attracts die-hard runners wearing electronic chips since they can have their performance in the 5 and 10-km courses certified by the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme (Québec Track and Field Federation).

Last year’s edition of this family sporting event brought together 1,115 participants for the race itself, as well as for the judicious health tips and massages provided. The Town of Rosemère would like to thank the many volunteers who make it possible for families to enjoy this fine outdoor sport activity.

Races start at 9 a.m. for the 10 km, 9:05 a.m. for the 5 km, 10:30 a.m. for the 3 km and 11 a.m. for the 1 km legs.  Participation is free for runners under the age of 12, but costs $2 for the 1 km, $5 for the 3 km, $10 for the 5 km, and $15 for the 10 km races. Registrations on site up to 30 minutes prior to the start of each leg. For more information, contact the Recreation Department at 450 621-3500, ext. 7380, or www.rosemereensante.blogspot.com/

On your mark, get set, go!
