The Town of Rosemère wishes to highlight citizens who have recently distinguished themselves in their respective fields.

Inspiring young athletes

On May 9, three young Rosemerites signed the Golden Book for their medal win at the Jeux du Québec:

Xiyun Peng – silver medal in table tennis in Sherbrooke earlier in the year.

Éloi Paquette – silver medal in the 500 m speed skating competition held in Sherbrooke in the winter.

Alexis Sénéchal – gold medal for him and his U16 team representing the Laurentides region in Rimouski in 2023.

The Town would also like to highlight the participation of these individuals in the Sherbrooke Jeux du Québec this winter: 

Florence Kluka – qualification for the 3 m and 1 m diving finals, finished 5^th place.

Katrina Ethier – participation in ice hockey.

Erin Ovaskainen – participation in ice hockey.

Jeanne Gong – participation in U15 women’s epee. 

Two prestigious competitions: One finalist and one winner

The Town also recognizes two citizens who have earned distinction in their field: 

Denise Montpetit – First prize in the 2023 Belles Lettres des Laurentides writing contest, awarded by Mouvement Québec français des Laurentides.

BLE-Network - Mercuriades 2024 finalist in the Community Engagement category for NotifAIDE, a platform that connects volunteers with organizations in need of their services..
